c. 1865, stamped inside D. SALZAR, 23"; mother-of-pearl bow 29" (sans bow strings; two mother-of-pearl leaves missing); leather carrying case
Fred Bumpus was president of the Lewiston-Auburn Symphony Orchestra. A newspaper article states, "Mr. Bumpus is the proud owner of 12 valuable old violins, each of which is valuable and some very rare."
