    Hendrik Pieter Koekkoek (1843-1927) was a landscape painter from the Netherlands. He had lived and worked in Amsterdam, Nieuwer-Amstel, London, then Amsterdam but left in 1869 for London again. He studied with his father Hermanus Koekkoek, and painted mainly seascapes; later, when living in London, he devoted himself to the art trade and used the alias of J. van Couver when painting.
