The engraved ovate pommel with baluster and turned base, the grip retains its original wire wrap and turkshead knots. The finely-wrought and robust blade long, double-edged, and continuously tapering to an acute point, with a narrow flat to each side, struck with a circular maker’s mark and XX EN X MENE, terminating in a stylized rosary. Beginning of the 17th century. Overall length 123.4cm. Light wear. Condition III.
