The dark hardwood stock with characteristic fluted butt carved with a floral spray at the breech. The mounts finely wrought of silver, comprising buttplate, triggerguard, counterplate, barrel band, ramrod finial and thimble. The superb miquelet lock with piercing and engraving characteristic of the Eibar school, the octagonally breeched barrel with maker’s struck in gold, stepping to round at the midpoint with a chiseled band, and the muzzle belled. Early 18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 87.6cm. Condition II
