Roman, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A stunning hand-blown blue-green (almost teal) glass double balsamarium with gracefully formed side trail handles and out-folded rims, boasting brilliant areas of purple and rainbow iridescence and interesting dendrite marks. Wealthy women in ancient Roman times would employ these pieces to contain their precious oils, perfumes, or cosmetics. Simply brilliant and in wonderful condition. Custom stand.
