Cover is frayed at the ends of the spine, on which the lettering is legible but faded. There are scuffs but no prominent stains to the boards. The gilt to the front cover is in good condition, with light scuffs but no notable fade. The top outside corners have shallow bumps (see photo). The inside cover spread gutters are reinforced with hinge tape. There is partial looseness to the first and last end pages, but the binding is sound, with no other loose and no missing pages. There are no stamps or other attachments. There is no writing or notations. There are no page tears, and no notable creases or stains. All 31 illustrations and tissue guards are in excellent condition, as is all text.
