Watanabe Seitei, or Watanabe Shotei, (1851-1918) was a Japanese artist and printmaker during the late 19th and early 20th century, and one of the first of the famous printmakers to visit Europe. His style blended Western realism with the delicate colors of the Japanese school of painting, creating a new approach to paintings of nature.
