Charle Chaplin owned bamboo cane marked 1932. According to a previous owner, it was the prize in an Australian competition. Together with a printed promotional postcard for "His Prehistoric Past" (Keystone, 1914), picturing Chaplin in various guises on the obverse and details for a cinema in Australia on the reverse: "He slips back through the ages; he flirts with prehistoric maids; he fights the mighty King Chas. Chaplin..."Prehistoric Past" to be seen at the Crown Pictures, Wollongong, Saturday Next, March 6th, One Night Only." Cane: 36 1/2" Postcard: 3 1/2 x 5 1/2".
