First edition. The Parva Naturalia are a collection of seven works by Aristotle, which discuss natural phenomena involving the body and the soul. This edition of Jandun’s questions on Parva Naturalia included, from the leaf 80, Marcantonio Zimara’s question on motion and the mover, wich was explained according to the “intentions of Averroes and Aristotle”. Marcantonio Zimara studied philosophy at the University of Padua under Agostino Nifo and Pietro Pomponazzi. He subsequently taught logic while studying medicine at Padua (1501–1505), and in 1509 was appointed professor of natural philosophy. Zimara edited works by medieval philosophers and edited and wrote commentaries on Aristotle and Averroës. Nice specimen with wide margins.
