Marcos Blahove (GA, 20th c.), Portrait of a Woman,
oil on canvas, signed lower left "Blahove," portrait of a young woman in white, housed in a carved gilt wood frame. Born in the Ukraine, Marcos Blahove spent his early years in Argentina. He studied at the Circulo de Bellas Artes and the Academia Vicente Puig, Buenos Aires and the National Academy of Design, New York. He has since established himself as a fine portraitist, completing commissions for such North Carolina dignitaries as Senator Sam Ervine Jr., former Governor Terry Sanford, among many others. SS 39.5" x 29.5"; DOA 47.25" x 27.25"
