The larger of the two is known as a Biedermeir and has molded and painted facial features and painted black skull cap on the top of the solid head, which is in turn covered by a very nice brown human hair wig. She is on a cloth body with porcelain lower arms (possibly slightly newer) and wears a copper colored silk pleated dress with lace overlay and has a feather fan pinned to the skirt. In addition there is a nice early 1860's china with molded and painted features with slightly different hairstyle with short curls framing each side of the face and a center part. She is also on a cloth body with a period printed two piece dress. Doll with black hair has a rack on top of the head running through the left side of the forehead to the center in back, slight painted wear to some curls. (Good - Very Good). Largest: 25'' T.
