    An original leaf from a rare early Renaissance printing of Dante's Divine Comedy. Commentary by Cristoforo Landino. This is folio CLXXII from Purgatorio with fine woodcut. The passage in larger typeset in Italian surrounded by commentary. Fine condition.

    The Divine Comedy is a 14th century epic poem by Dante Alighieri. It is considered on the greatest works of both Italian and world literature. The poem describes Dante's travels through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise or Heaven.
