One page, Letter signed by William A. Richardson (Nov. 2, 1821-Oct. 19, 1896) the US Secretary of the Treasury for President Ulysses S. Grant from March 1873 to June 1874, when he was forced to resign due to the Sanborn Incident where he authorized a private citizen, John D. Sanborn, to collect unpaid taxes and let Sanborn keep half of what he collected. Fine condition.
