Early Baltimore Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Garland Decoration, attributed to Thomas Amoss, possibly with William Morgan, Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, ovoid jar with rounded rim and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed garland and cobalt at each end of lugs. Measures 9x9x12.75. Weight is 12 pds. Chip to one lug handle, some staining, firing mark. Fabulous piece of American Stoneware that is 196 years old.
