From the consignor with the Fire Lanterns in the October auction, this globe did not make it into the last auction but it clearly should have been sold with all of the Fire Department lanterns that we just offered. It is a blue over clear with a nice line that shows the hot-joint work required to fuse the blue and clear glass together. The seam has a nice lump. There are swirl lines where teh top and bottom areas were shaped to meet their requireed sizes. There is some old dark crud on the base in one area from actual use. There 2 color globes should never have vertical seam lines. This is a fine globe that is ready for your fireman's lantern. Dimensions: 2 3/4" top, 3 3/8" base, 6 3/8" tioal height with 6" visible (take away top and base lips). THis is a very nice globe.
