Napoleon III bronze barometer, 19th century, having semi-nude figures of Eurydice and Orpheus surmounting the top of the circular form, surrounded by stylized grape leaves, centering a circular band having a bas relief star design around a glass cover revealing a paper dial trimmed with brass marked, "CH MOUSSIER Opt Nuntes / Barometer Metallique / Medalille D'or / E. Bourdon / Et Richard / Brevetes / Paris, expos 1849 / Grande Medaille De La Classe / Londres 1851", this design won a grand prize for barometers at the Crystal Palace Exhibition in London, 23"h x 17"w x 6"d.
