An early 20th century citrine and split pearl gold

An early 20th century citrine and split pearl gold pendant. The oval-shape citrine, with split pearl scalloped surround. Length 3cms. Weight 6.7gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pendant has been converted from a clasp.

  • File marks and evidence of conversion to reverse.

  • Later surmount, soft solder marks to surmount fitting.

  • Surmount loop shows evidence of repair.

  • Split pearls with slight yellowish white lustre.

  • Citrine medium yellow, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
