This natural, untreated 2.66 ct brilliant round hand-cut Burma Ruby, from the Mogok region of Myanmar, has multi vibrant colors which are shown easily by the masterful cutting techniques, facets and large table. The natural pinkish-red color is truly mesemerizing and there is a slight gradual lavender tone in the center. If you look, holding the ruby facing the bottom - towards yourself, look at the culet into the light. You get a few small strands of blue, almost like small striations, if holding in certain postitions. Looking at the facets in a light, especially natural lighting, really allows to see the difference in color and vibrance. A lot like a prism. The red corundum gem, measures 8.5mm x 8.5mm x 5.9mm and weighs half of a gram (.533 grams). The gemstone is in excellent condition, has inclusion, no visible feathering that was seen.
