Roman Empire, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A breathtaking translucent green glass oinochoe, free-blown with a near-spherical body finely detailed with diagonal ribs creating an elegant swirled pattern throughout, and a dimpled base with a nice broken pontil, the bulbous body leading to a narrow tubular neck, a trefoil spout with a trail accentuating the its lower end, and a thick, flowing trailed handle bridging spout to shoulder. Just gorgeous! Size: 4.5" in diameter x 7.125" H (11.4 cm x 18.1 cm)
