    Extremely scarce first edition in clean, collectible condition. Minor evidence of water stain on spine else sharp and clean example. Two tips starting to fray a tiny bit (not very noticeable). Spine ends solid. Top edge gilt. Front hinge cracked but hinge still solid (no wobbling). Couple of minor gutter cracks else near fine interior. Contains numerous photographic portraits of notable Native Americans, including the famous Geronimo, Thunder Cloud and Little Bear. Photographs were taken by the famous photographer F. A. Rinehart during the Indian Congress of 1898 where these wild inhabitants of the West could be viewed in real life while they still lived. A monumental and important work; scarce in any condition. 185 pages; indexed. Size: 9 x 12.5
