Roman Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd centuries CE. Very lovely gold and garnet earrings. Central 6-petaled flower with raised bosses on each leaf, round cabochon garnet in the center with small gold applique in the very center of both stones. Modified French wire closure. Gold tests at 22 karats, and weighs 3.8 grams in total. Size: .75" W x .75" H (1.9 cm x 1.9 cm)
