A mid Victorian gold, diamond and gem-set pendant, circa 1870. The marquise-shape turquoise lattice, with old-cut diamond intersections and split pearl spacers, suspending a similarly-set fringe, to the split pearl and turquoise boss surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length 6.2cms. Weight 8.6gms.


  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Converted from a period earring.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Turquoise are a fairly well matched medium through light blue through slightly greenish blue hues.
  • Typical small brown matrix inclusions.
  • One turquoise chipped to fringe.
