Carved white jade plaque from the late 18th - early 19th century. The plaque is rectangular in form and includes openwork bats and flowers on the top. One side of the plaque is carved with a scholar and a boy in a landscape. A bird is also featured within the landscape as is a pine tree. On the back side of the plaque are carved out characters and two seals. The carving is pierced with a hole at the bottom.
Dimensions are 1 7/8 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches high. All measurements are approximate.
