Lot 0220
Pine nuts and boxwood carved with a poem and Wadang pattern, strung on a necklace from the 18th - 19th century. This necklace includes a central toggle of a boxwood shoe. It has 18 pine nut beads, each being carved with part of a poem or a Wadang pattern. They are strung on a brown cord.

The necklace is 12 inches long with the shoe being an additional 3 inches long. The beads are 5/8 of an inch long by 3/8 of an inch wide and the shoe is 2 inches wide by 7/8 of an inch high. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance: From a Boston estate. Collected in Hong Kong in the 1950's and 1960's.
