A rare alien character mask featured in the Federation Council scene in Star Trek: The Voyage Home. This mask featured the likeness of a unnamed alien species, and can be seen in the beginning of the film. The mask is made of thin rubber, with the shoulder area of the mask worn on the head of the actor to make the alien appear very tall. The mask is painted a red color with intricate detailing around the neck area and two glass eyes. The makes was restored by it's creator, Richard Snell shortly before his passing, with touch ups to the paint, and a clear coating preventing deterioration of the rubber. This item sits on a custom made black acrylic base with clear acrylic cover (not pictured). Item measures 25" x 14" x 9", remains in excellent screen used condition and comes form the collection of Mel Efros, the films producer. This item can also be seen in "The Art of Star Trek" book by Judith and Garfield Reeves, and comes with a collection of behind the scenes photographs of the mask being created.
