The obverse depicts a winged angel guiding a boat toward St. Louis bearing a female figure representing the French Republic, in exergue 'Expoition Universelle Internationale, Saint-Louis 1904'. The reserve inscribed 'Section Industrielle Francaise, Organisee par le Comite Francais des Expositions a LeTranger sous le Patronage de l'Etat' (French industrial section organized by the French Committee on Foreign Expositions under the Patronage of the State). Signed on the obverse in the upper right corner.
