The Spell #2, 1994. Gelatin silver print, hand colored, print 5 of 25, each is original. Image: 13.75 in x 13.5 in, framed: 24 in x 26 in. Courtesy of the artist and David Lusk Gallery. Jeane Umbreit is a fine art photographer who lives and works in Memphis, Tennessee, and whose work has been exhibited and collected worldwide for over 17 years. She has also been included in exhibitions: Brown v Board of Education at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Visualize the Blues at the Dixon Gallery in Memphis, a juried exhibition at Pleiades Gallery in New York, and in a traveling exhibition of southern photography which originated at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia. She is currently participating in the U.S. Arts in the Embassies program with work on loan to the U.S. Embassy in Damascus, Syria.
