Bisque socket head with slant cut pate in the French manner, spiral threaded inset blue glass eyes, feathered and brushstroked brows, pierced ears, closed mouth, accented lips, blonde mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body, straight wrists, wears antique cotton dress, newer black French-style shoes. Commentary: William Dehler, circa 1885, whose seldom-found dolls were modeled after the French bebes; pale bisque, beautiful eyes, good original body with original finish, old hairline far left side of forehead.
