  • Johannes or Jan Luyken was a Dutch poet, illustrator and engraver. He learned engraving from his father Kaspar Luyken. He was a renowned engraver and poet as a result of a religious experience that inspired him to write poetry of moral subjects.
  • Ignis of het Vuur is from a series of the Four Elements.
