We are exceptionally proud to showcase this spectacular & mammoth 9" x 6" x 15" tall hand painted, Rare Semi-Nude statuette, of a famed German Born Film Actress & Dancer named Liselotte Koster. Her early performances included the Art Deco / or European Decadent Period primarily in the 1930's, as this figurine celebrates. Our statuette was formed by Master Modeler Lore Friedrich Gronau, is properly inscribed, and features beautiful colors and a sweeping realism of her "Gypsy" French Cabaret dance. The base Rosenthal stamp has the 2 dots flanking Germany (with no Kunstabteilung Selb) beneath the underline, denoting a 1936 finish date. THIS IS ONE OF THE TALLEST AND MOST RISQUE OF ALL THE ROSENTHAL FORMS, AND BEAUTIFULLY REPRESENTS THE FINAL DAYS OF RELATIVE PEACE IN EUROPE, BEFORE WWII. Liselotte Koster was born on May 3, 1911 in Berlin, Germany, and was best known for her stunning movie performances in When the White Lilacs Bloom Again (1953), Betty Blue (1966) and Die Sache mit dem Ring (1961). She was married to both Hanns Otto Ball and Jockel Stahl passing on September 19, 1987 in West Berlin, West Germany. 9x6x15" tall. Weight 3 pds
