Framed Edgardo F. Garcia Oil on Board. Old Red Barn with Silo and Horse, painted in 1981. Originally purchased at the Timberlane Galleries, Carmel by the Sea, California. Measures in frame 25x21x1.50". Weight is 3 pds 10 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of a Charleston SC Art Dealer / Gallery Owner. Edgardo F. Garcia was born in the Philippines. He received his B.S. degree in Education from Manuel L. Quezon University. In 1969 Garcia moved to California, eventually settling in the San Francisco bay area. Largely self-taught, he became an art instructor. His artworks became noted for their great versatility of subjects After moving to Hawaii, he quickly won wide acclaim as one of the island's foremost artists. His son Walfrido, a former student, is also internationally collected and also specializes in marine art. Garcia's other two sons, Gerardo and Edgardo, II, are also artists.
