Details: This lot consists of two Civil War Era cartridge boxes from our Civil War Estate Collection. The boxes measure 8" x 7" x 2".
Both boxes were cut for a badge and are black. All other straps and fittings are intact including latch tab and filial, roller buckles, tool pouch, and shoulder belt loops. One of the boxes has riveted belt straps on the back. The stamp on the inner flap of that box reads "E. GAYLORD CHICOPEE MASS." The other box has a makers mark on the inner flap which reads "MADE BY J.L. PITTMAN N-Y".
This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
