Details: 10Pcs. Seven pairs of antique Civil War Era sliding temple eyeglasses, and three period eyeglass cases made of tin.
This lot consists of: two pairs of silver-colored frame period sliding temple sharpshooter's eyeglasses with amber-colored lenses, each measuring approx. 4 1/2" by 1 1/4"; three pairs of silver-colored frame period sliding temple eyeglasses with clear lenses, each measuring approx. 4 1/2" by 1 1/4" ; and two pairs of brass-colored period sliding temple eyeglasses with clear lenses, each measuring approx. 4 1/2" by 1 1/4".
Also included in this lot is 3 period eyeglass cases made of tin, each measuring approx. 6 1/2" by 1 1/4". One case features a blue felt-like interior, and is so marked Patent 26, 1860 on the exterior. Two of the cases are unadorned. Each of these cases opens and closes.
This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
