Details: This lot consists of mess kit items typical of the Civil War era:

-1 bowl with soldered seams. (Diameter is 6.25" at the top, 4.25" at the bottom and 2.5" tall.)
-2 cups with soldered handles. (One cup is 4.2" in diameter, 4.6" tall, with a handle that is 1.8" wide. The other is 4.2" in diameter, 4.8" tall, and the handle tapers from 1.25" wide at the top to 0.6" wide at the bottom.)
-1 small coffee pot with a handle and wooden knob atop the tightly fitting lid. (4.5" diameter not including 1" spout, roughly 4.5" tall including lid and knob, handle tapers down from 1" wide at the top.)
-1 small pot with tightly fitting lid and wire handle. (4.5" diameter x 4.5" tall.)
-1 copper-colored medium pot with handle (Diameter measures 4.5" at the top to 6.25" at the bottom and is 6.5" tall.)
-1 fork and 1 knife with matching wooden handles and pretty metal inserts. Inscription on knife reads "New England Cutlery Company. (Knife is 9.5" long and 1" wide at the widest point. Fork is 7.5" long and 0.7" wide.)
-1 wood handle knife with metal accent. (9" long and 1" wide at widest point.)
-3 wood or bone handle forks. (Ranging in length from 7.25" - 5.5" and 0.5"-0.75" wide.)
-1 antler handle spoon with inscription "S.E.B. Hammered E.P.N.S." (7.25" total length. Bowl measures 1.75" width x 2.75" length x 0.25" deep.)

This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York. Worth Auctions will feature scores of antique firearms, edged weapons, paintings, and unusual items over the next few months.
