A carved wooden mask with pierced eye openings. White painted face with dark eyebrows, lips, and cheeks under dark painted carved hair. Masks were typically used in mourning rituals or ceremonies in African culture, worn by men to represent the spirit of a dead person.
Collected by a missionary family in the 1940's.
