Seth Thomas (American (Connecticut), founded 1853), circa 1825. A mahogany scroll top case with three brass run finials over a glazed door opening to painted wood dial with floral spandrels with gilt highlights, Roman numerals and star-shaped hands above a reverse painted tablet depicting a countryside landscape setting, flanked to the exterior by , free standing columns, on a scroll carved apron with slender legs. Interior back lower with paper label dating to 1825. Approximate height 31.5", width 17.5", depth 4.5".
