Fred Thompson - Where's Mother - RARE DOGS

Lot 0325 Details

Description
Extremely rare circa 1900-10 Fred Thompson hand-colored photo. This picture is the equivalent of Wallace Nutting's "Dog-On-It" with eight tiny puppies standing on a tabletop blanket. We have never seen this particular picture before and, to be perfectly honest, at first we doubted its authenticity. It looked too good. With the approval of the consignor we took the picture apart to confirm its originality and indeed the picture is totally original, and we offer our complete 100% guarantee on this picture. Est 11x7" original frame with original backing paper re-attached by us. 5.0 Grading with great image color and in exceptionally clean and blemish-free condition. This picture appears to have never-been-hung and was probably stored within a drawer until found. If we ever saw a picture with record-setting potential this picture is it.
