A Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Gilt Bronze Bodhisattva Buddha, Shown seated in dhyanasana with hands in vitarka and varada mudras, left hand holding a bottle vase. Wearing a necklace with three pendent tassels and priest's robes cast with patchwork and with foliate borders, the hair worn in long knotted plaits and gathered up into a topknot within the openwork foliate crown centered by a figure of Amitabha Buddha. Seated in crossed leg Lotus position.

Mark on reverse side, six incised script -KaiShu- characters, YongLe Reign Period of Great Ming.

The underside with incised quatrefoil flori-form petal visvavajra mark surrounding the centralized DaiJi.

Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, considering ages and wears.
