DESCRIPTION: A Franz Hermle and Sohn German mantel clock. Comprises of an overall wooden foundation and casing embellished with inlaid floral motif marquetry. Further garnished with dore bronze scrolled rococo feet with dolphin motifs, along with cherubs and phoenixes along the bottom of the glass cover. The glass cover is bordered by rococo dore bronze accents and fitted with an acanthus leaf motif handle. Finished with a cherubs visage along the top and rosettes flanking the clock face along with a dore bronze cherub playing a flute along the very top. Clock face comprises of a circular dore bronze construction with embossed scrolled rococo floral motifs and hand painted porcelain dials. Marked on movement: "FHS Germany". Includes original key and pendulum.
