Provenance; Exhibited in Eisenach (behind bullet proof glass). Exhibition; 'Ein neu entdecktes Germalde des Bach-Sohns - Johann Christian Bach - Der Mann in Der Goldenen Weste. Notes. It has been suggested that this portrait could be an early Johan Zoffany.
