A GROUP OF EIGHT MUGS AND TANKARDS, comprising a pewter mug with banded foliate scroll etched decoration to the body centering a cartouche, scrolled handle, glass bottom, height: 4 3/4"; a Ngan Winghing reticulated dragon motif pewter over glass mug with "C" scroll handle, Hong Kong, Mid 20th century, height: 5 3/8"; an English pewter stepped foot mug with "D" shape handle, glass bottom, height: 5 1/4"; an English pewter over glass drinking game mug, with five wooden dice encased within double walled bottom, "D" shape handle, height: 6 1/4"; a German glass tankard with "C" shape handle and pewter lid, the glass with enamel painted banner "Trink gut und rein, Buviel lass sein!" with flowering grain and leaf surround and pendant embossed seal, scrolled thumb latch to the top, height: 6 3/4"; a German gris stoneware tankard with "C" shape handle and pewter lid, the body divided into three panels with embossed images set within a grape arbor of Gambrinus wearing his crown and holding his scepter, a monk holding a book in his left hand and an upraised tankard in his right, and a young man with hilted sword seated on a stool holding a tankard in one hand and a book in the other, the lid with scroll decoration centering shield shape reserve with engraved banner below and knight helmet form thumb latch, height: 6 1/4"; a German glazed gris stoneware tankard with "C" shape handle and pewter lid, the body with cobalt blue ground banded decoration composed of foliate scroll and griffin head motifs and two seated men drinking from tankards centering a shaped cartouche emblazoned "PROZIT," the banded domed lid with addorsed scroll thumb latch, height: 7 1/4"; and an English salt glazed ceramic figural Toby jug with patinated copper lid, with English registration mark of 1845, height: 8".

Condition

In overall good condition, the Toby mug with large chip to lip under copper mount, all with surface wear and rubbing commensurate with age and use.
