A WHITE MARBLE STATUE MODELED AS A GIRL GATHERING FLOWERS GARDEN, FIRST QUARTER 20TH CENTURY, the figure with curled hair casts her gaze downward as she wears a loose robe holding the end of her robe as a makeshift basket as she gathers blooms in the other hand, standing in contra posto and supported by a tree branch, she walks barefoot on a rocky base. Height: 35 1/2" Diameter: 15" Provenance: Estate of the late Charles A. and Betti F. Saunders, Houston, Texas.


Some apparent repairs to the wrist and fingers of one hand, a few minor chips to the folds of her dress, and some areas of discoloration likely from outdoor exposure, otherwise in good condition.
