Details: This lot consists of a reunion medal for an identified Civil War veteran of the 184th New York Infantry. It features an unusual art nouveau badge with an albumen portrait of the intended wearer hanging from a white ribbon with gilt text that reads "REUNION 184th N.Y. INFANTRY OSWEGO FALLS JUNE 8 1904". The back of badge has blue square cross in the center and reads "ROBERT SIMPSON JR SECRETARY". Medal measures 175" in diameter with 2" ribbon in shadow box 3.25" x 4.3".
