Details: This lot consists of an unusually ornate reunion medal ribbon for an identified Civil War Veteran of the 7th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry regiment, Major Benjamin S Dartt. It features a portrait of Dartt on a badge hanging from a ribbon that feeds through a decorative brass colored bar. The bottom of the ribbon just underneath where the badge hangs reads "31ST ANNUAL REUNION ..7TH..PENNA. VET. VOL. CAVALRY ASSN. WILLISMPORT, PA. OCT 20-21 1986". The back of badge has blue square cross in the center and reads "ROBERT SIMPSON JR SECRETARY". Medal measures 175" in diameter with 2" ribbon in shadow box 3.25" x 4.3".
Condition / Notes: This item is in excellent condition and shows signs of normal period wear that may include patina, abrasions, rust and soiling. Portrait is in excellent condition with little to no surface erosion and highly visible.
