Details: Decorative Antique 1813 Powder Horn with Gold-tone Metal Accents.
Handsomely engraved, with brilliant gold-tone hardware. Engraving reads, "N.C. Rivers, Made May 1, 1813, Aurelius Cayuga County NY." Also features an engraved horse on one side, and leaping stag on the other. Measuring approx. 9" in length. Appears to be gold plated, small spot is worn on the horn cap on the wide end of the horn, revealing a silver colored metal. Gold-tone metal is very bright, and free of oxidation or discoloration.
