Details: Antique Civil War relic iron artillery bolt.
This antique Civil War era relic is a solid iron artillery bolt weighing approx 5 pounds. Presumably a Hotchkiss style solid bolt. It has an open channel around the center of the bolt, presumably for a lead sabot. It has an approx. 2 1/2" diameter.
This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
