Details: Antique, framed original military discharge document of the post Civil War era.

This documents the service discharge to the United States Union Army for 2nd Lieutenant Edward P. Arthur, of the 13th New York Artillery Regiment of the United States of America. This documents an early discharge of a three year enlistment term. Enlistment date given is April 5th, 1865, with a discharge date of July 18th, 1865. Reason given for early discharge is No. 335, via War Department, given June 27th, 1865. Document date is July 18th, 1863.

Document was signed in Norfolk Virginia, by commanding officer, etc.

Measures 14" by 17" (frame) and 8" by 11" original document.
Condition / Notes: This original framed document shows nicely, with mild to moderate age. Toning, creasing and fading consistent with handling. Frame shows moderate age and wear.
