The brown glass Patent ale bottle is a dug relic from Fort Union, New Mexico. Measures 11" tall. Has label taped around bottle detailing it as surplus from a National Park Service collection, as well as a brief history of the fort's occupation. The label documents this bottle's exchange for other museum specimens in 1955.

This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
