AN AFRICAN TRIBAL THROWING SPEAR, POSSIBLY TUBU DAZA PEOPLES, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the line engraved steel blade centering a median ridge above a neck of small barbs on a line incised conical ferrure fitted on a short wood pole ending in a coiled wire finial, blade length: 5 3/8", total length: 51". Height: 51" Provenance: This throwing spear formed part of the tribal collection amassed by the Seldens from the 1940's tthrough the 1960's.

Condition

Fair condition with normal areas of surface rust, small dents, marks and scratches.
