SIGNED JUNE 26 1984
6.5 X 5.5"
The Breiningers started their own pottery business, eventually employing six potters to craft pieces in the traditional Pennsylvania style. They used traditional colors of red, green and yellow and adorned their works with tulips and distelfinks, classic Pennsylvania Dutch motifs. Collectors came from all over the country for the annual Porch Sale of Breininger redware pottery, held on the couple's 100-foot-long front porch. "Visitors could not only purchase folk art," Randolph said, "but view my parents' personal collection, listen to fiddlers and try my mother's homemade cookies and peppermint tea." The 42nd, and last, sale of Breininger redware was held in August
